Top Chaat places in Chennai

The minute the word "Chaat" comes to your mind. You can immediately taste the sweet and tangy savouries that are yummy and one food that everyone of us enjoys!

I decided to put together a list of places in Chennai that have some good chaats.

Starting with:

1. Ajnabi mithai ghar, Fountain plaza, Egmore - This is by far the best place one can find chaat, their varieties are amazing and mouth-watering

2. Adyar Ananda Bhavan, Adyar, Velachery, etc. - Pretty good, I must say for a "south indian" sweet place. Bhel puri, Sev Puri, etc. seem to be their forte!!

3. Chaat Haat, Elliot's beach, Besant nagar - by far the best aloo tikki in the city. they do have other savories too.

4. Gangotri, Radhakrishnan road/ Boag road (T.nagar) - an out and out chaat place, their pani puri
is realllllyy good

5. Kolkatta Chaat, Spencer plaza, Anna salai - name any chaat there, and it's awesome!

6. Kailash Parbat, Harrington road, Chetpet - yet to go there, but have been to the one in mumbai. they're really good with the wide variety and flavors of chaat one can think of. but the best is the falooda :)

7. Creme Centre, Chamiers road, Alwarpet - a bombay chain, is a very popular hangout place and their chana bhatura is fantabulous

8. No list is complete without mentioning the eateries at Sowcarpet, the Mecca for North Indian food & Chaats. They have Dhabeli, Vada Paav, Usual chaats, and much more varieties

9. Mansukh's in T.Nagar, Alwarpet also has a good collection of Chaats and gujarati snacks and savouries

10. A small chaat place outside Rangoli and Karishma store on Nungambakkam High road is attracting a lot of crowd for the fantastic taste of pani puri and other favorites. Would love more inputs to make the list longer
